At Marigold Behavioral Health, we have a responsibility to help protect the health and safety of everyone who works at or enters our practice. In order to allow patients and staff to be themselves without fear of harassment, discrimination, or violence, we place a strong emphasis on fostering safety, respect, and inclusion. The purpose of the following policy is to help protect the physical and psychological safety of both patients and staff.
- NO knives, guns, or other weapons
- NO punching, hitting, pushing, throwing objects, or spitting
- NO unwanted inappropriate touching
- NO verbal threats or bullying
- NO cussing, shouting, racial slurs, or cultural insults
- Listen and follow behavioral instructions from healthcare workers
In North Carolina, it is a crime to assault a healthcare worker and may be prosecuted as a felony. Marigold Behavioral Health, PLLC reserves the right to take appropriate measures, including removal from our property and/or criminal prosecution.
N.C.G.S. 14-34.6
1. No weapons, concealed or otherwise, are allowed on the premises. Failure to heed our posted signs will result in an immediate discharge.
2. If you can't attend an appointment, we ask that you provide at least 24-hour advance notice to our office. Since we are unable to use this time for another patient, please keep in mind that you will be billed directly the fee of $100 for your missed scheduled appointment unless the cancellation is due to illness or an emergency.
3. Children aged 12 and younger are not allowed to be in the lobby unattended. Their legal guardian must be present at all times.
4. If you (the patient) or anyone in the home has a contagious illness, such as any listed below, the patient will not be seen. Your appointment will be rescheduled for when everyone in the home is well.
- Rhinovirus (Common Cold)
- Influenza (Flu)
- Respiratory Syncytial Virus (RSV)
- Gastroenteritis (Stomach Flu)
- Streptococcus (Strep Throat)
- Conjunctivitis (Pink Eye)
- Coronavirus (COVID-19)
5. Legal guardian(s) must accompany any patient under the age of 18 to the intake appointment with documentation to show that you have sole custody, or have the other parent not attending contact our office to provide consent.
6. We are a scent-free office. Help us keep the air we share healthy and fragrance-free. The chemicals used in scented products can make some people sick, especially those with sensitivities to asthma, allergies, migraines, and other conditions. Please do not wear perfume, cologne, aftershave, or other fragrances while visiting our office.
